Ray’s Bay, SEASPAR’s newest multi-sensory room, features a unique assortment of state-of-the-art equipment designed to vitalize the senses. Soothing sound waves and visual effects create a calming atmosphere, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the room’s large rocking chair, comfort cabin, or lighted waterbed. Guests with energy to spare can interact with various devices intended to spark curiosity as well as joy.
Ray’s Bay Multi-Sensory Room is located in the lower level of the Grand Avenue Community Center. A waiting room, complete with a sitting area, is available for guests while participants play.
History
In 2020, SEASPAR, in partnership with the Village of Western Springs, built Ray’s Bay, SEASPAR’s second multi-sensory room. The room was named after Ray Jasica, a former SEASPAR Board member and lifetime supporter.

Visiting Ray’s Bay Multi-Sensory Room
Visiting a SEASPAR multi-sensory room requires registration through SEASPAR. Weekly programs, special events, and adapted programs are offered at the site. View our current season’s program guide on the Program Schedules and Brochures page to learn about program offerings.
